According to NCSoft's website, they are going to be starting the first round of beta invites for Aion June 5th, and run until the 7th.

Players will only be able to play as the Elyos unfortunately. But this gives new players a great chance to at least test the game mechanics out.

NCSoft also alluded to there being more short beta tests where players will be able to test other parts of Aion.

Looks like Aion is around the corner... finally!
